Some women are fortunate enough to spot an unhealthy relationship and escape early. However, not everyone is this lucky. Some of us remain entangled in the toxic dynamics for years, hanging on even after the relationship's expiry date is obvious. In the end, the relationship eventually ends when they are thrown off the metaphorical roof and left for dead. This is a narrative I'm all too familiar with - it's my story. But my story does not end with brokeness. I didn't remain fragmented and broken; I refused to let my spirit break like the infamous Humpty Dumpty.

Faced with the massive pain of disappointment, grief, and betrayal, compounded by the immense dread of falling and breaking into unrecoverable bits and pieces like so many women, I drew from the memory of the strong Women of Power like my mother Crusita, who taught me what it means to be a strong, independent woman.

While I was in the deep end of brokeness, I must admit, for a minute, I though I was never going to be ok.

But I was determined that "brokeness" would not be my fate. I managed to muster the courage to get back up, dust myself off, and forge a new path. The journey was tough, filled with uncomfortable internal work that required confronting my deepest fears, regrets, rejection, and anger [mostly at myself]. But it was in that very discomfort that I discovered my inner strength and resilience, and my ability to rise from brokenness. I taught myself to soar, never really hitting the ground after my tragic fall from grace. Forever transforming my descent into a spectacular flight of rebirth and self-discovery.

Embarking on this transformation journey is not for the faint-hearted. It demands courage, introspection, and yes, a significant amount of uncomfortable inner work.
